In the past, heavy industry was located here, but today it attracts people who are particularly active in sports. The Rhine Park in the Hochfeld district is one of Duisburg's most popular excursion destinations.
Outdoorfun? Let's go!
The Rheinpark Duisburg will get your tired bones moving again. There's no need to come up with excuses because there's something for everyone: climbing, basketball, skating, beach volleyball. And if you can't decide, just do everything in a row.
The skate park in particular is a popular spot for improving your skills on the board or watching others do the same. Due to the quantity and selection of rails, kickers and other obstacles, the skate area in the Rheinpark is also very popular in the scene. If you have kids in tow, the meadow is also perfect for flying kites, as the neighbouring Rhine provides plenty of buoyancy.
But be careful - with so much movement, it's easy to get hungry and after hungry comes hangry! So either pack some snacks or stop off at the neighbouring café. To end the day on a cosy note, you can stroll along the Rhine promenade and explore the graffiti-decorated ore bunkers or simply chill out on the grass.
As I said, there's something for everyone. So, let's go!
